Reprocessing

Objective: To develop reconfigurable bespoke remanufacturing and recycling technologies which enable a higher percentage of small MDs to enter the Circular Economy.

In order to achieve this objective, we will be looking at the following:

• Design and prototype bespoke post-fragmentation material separation processes for high quality separation of various fractions to support high value next-life reuse of recycled healthcare materials.
• Design and prototype a range of novel reprocessing equipment and associated intelligent control software for automatic product and/or materials identification, materials contamination sensing, robotic remanufacturing of healthcare products.
